For Moapa Palms Reports

This is the closest thing to indication of human presence (other than the road) to the groves along the seeps outside of Overton. On the right in the distance you can see Angel grove. The old foundation is actually an old cattle tank from an early settler's homestead called the Morrison place. Some of the old-timers I spoke with said that when they were children in the 1920's they swam in this tank and that the palms were visible in the distance at that time and that they were about as large as you see them today. One of these people was Chick Perkins, long time supporter of the Mendis Cooper tradition and curator for many years at the lost City Museum.
