Belleza Gallery in Bisbee AZWhile Belleza proudly displays and sells the Fine Art of William Spencer III the collector of William Spencer Paintings should be proud to know that Belleza is fully owned and operated by the Women's Transition Project in Bisbee, Arizona and that every single net dollar from the Sale of all Art goes to the Women's transition project. WTP provides single women and women with children the opportunity to truly make the changes needed to become self-reliant. It is the only transitional housing facility of its kind in Southeastern Arizona - Cochise County. Shelters allow stays of only 45 days. Residents at WTP can stay up to two years if they are dedicated to, and are completing, objectives to moving toward financial self-sufficiency and permanent housing. The goal of WTP is to help women become not only self-sufficient but to develop quality of life habits through personalized, comprehensive counseling services, education, and job training. Women who demonstrate both willingness and ability to achieve permanent stability, may stay in the home for up to two years. WTP operates a staffed program twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. In its first year, WTP assisted more than 50 women and children, mostly victims of homelessness, domestic violence, and women recovering from substance abuse. Also during its first year, WTP assisted five women in starting college, and five women have been reunited with their children. All net profits from Belleza Fine Art gallery benefit WTP residents. A Message from Lou Anne Art is usually sold for profit. It's not often that art sales benefit a good cause. Belleza has shattered sales records on Main Street Bisbee and I would like to recognize and thank all our wonderful patrons for making the Belleza Fine Art Gallery a huge success. |
